HARDA is pleased to announce that Dooleys, through the 2020 Clubs for Cumberland ClubGRANTS scheme, have once again funded our HARDA Swim, survive and Socialise Program for 2021. We are most grateful to Dooleys for this funding and look forward to seeing everyone for another great summer swimming program in Jan 2021.
Fiona Carr and Michael Muhlbauer submitted an application for the funding of our popular swimming program and received notification on the 4th August that we were successful. This is the 8th time we will be hosting this event with the assistance of Dooleys.
The program runs for two weeks every January, and we expect to have 120+ children, aged from 6 to 16 years old, join us this year. With capabilities ranging from never having swum before to advanced level, each child will receive 45 mins of swimming lessons on each of the 10 days, with a Bronze Medallion program being a significant goal for the more advanced swimmers to aim for.
As in previous years, we will reach out again in October and November (subject to Covid restrictions) to provide more details about the program, at which point there will be an application form for those of you interested in participating inthis event to register your interest.
Something that may be different this year. There is usually an award ceremony to present the cheque from Dooleys, but not sure if this will happen this time due to the current set of the Covid restrictions. With this in mind, we hope you will join us in extending our gratitude to Dooleys.
The ClubGRANTS scheme is a shared State Government-Club Industry program, which funded by a 2.25% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government
